At the meeting, Vice Premier He stated, "China and Japan are close neighbors separated only by a strip of water, and are also important economic and trade partners for each other. China has always welcomed Japanese companies to develop in China and share market opportunities." He also expressed hope that JAPIT would grasp the correct historical direction, continue to uphold the tradition of China-Japan friendship, and play an even greater role in promoting China-Japan economic and trade cooperation.

Takeshi Iwaya, the new chairman of JAPIT, stated, "Japanese industry will continue to strive for expanded exchanges with China and contribute to the further development of economic and trade relations between the two countries and the deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation."
