Deng Yaping (Den Yaping), a legend of Chinese women's table tennis, named Miwa Harimoto and others as opponents China should be wary of. At the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, currently held from September 19 to October 4, table tennis events took place from the 20th to the 28th, where Japan achieved the remarkable feat of defeating China in the men's team event to win the gold medal. Deng appeared on a Chinese table tennis commentary program and named Miwa Harimoto as the female player who should be given the most importance. Furthermore, in the men's category, she named Sora Matsushima and praised him, saying, 'His ability to control his emotions has become stronger than before.' She stated, 'I believe it is necessary to continue to focus on him,' and also expressed her view on Tomokazu Harimoto, saying, 'Of course, he is also a major subject of research.'
