Chinese media outlet Qingdao News Network reported on the 25th that drama and film production company Dongyang Haile Film & Television Entertainment demanded repayment from actors Fan Bingbing (范冰冰) and Fan Chengcheng (范丞丞), siblings.

On the evening of the 24th, the company posted an article on social media titled "Ms. Fan, please repay the money! - An Open Letter to Ms. Fan Bingbing from a Creditor." In it, they complained that "despite a judgment ordering the repayment of 67 million yuan (approximately 1.57 billion yen), not a single penny has been returned," and pointed out that Fan Bingbing's beauty brand "Fan Beauty," on the other hand, is reported to have an annual turnover of approximately 1.8 billion yuan (approximately 42.2 billion yen).

According to the "Letter," in April 2017, Haile Media signed an agreement with Wuxi Aimeishen Film and Television Culture, which Fan Bingbing and her mother established in 2015, to co-invest in the production of the drama "The Rich Lady of Qin Dynasty" ("Win the World"). In 2018, Fan Bingbing's massive tax evasion came to light, and as the work could not be distributed, the company demanded the return of the funds it had invested in the production. However, negotiations failed, and a lawsuit was filed in May 2019. In September 2021, the Beijing High People's Court issued a judgment ordering Aimeishen to pay the company 67 million yuan in investment principal and profits, along with liquidated damages for delayed payment.

However, since then, Aimeishen has been in a state of "no money," and even after five years, Haile Media has reportedly not received a single penny.

The "Letter" also mentioned that the additional taxes, overdue fines, and penalties for Fan Bingbing personally totaled over 800 million yuan (approximately 18.7 billion yen), and this amount was paid within a few months. Furthermore, regarding Aimeishen's "lack of money," it stated, "We also thought for a time that they truly had no money," and then listed six events that allegedly occurred during the period when Aimeishen "could not repay," including a sole proprietorship under Fan Chengcheng's name.

The "Letter" also raised several questions regarding Fan Bingbing's side, such as movements before Aimeishen's bankruptcy application was accepted, and towards the end, urged both Fan Bingbing and Fan Chengcheng to "clarify the situation." At the end of the document, it reiterated the demand for the repayment of 67 million yuan plus accrued interest.
