Established in 2016, the company develops, manufactures, and sells high-performance quadruped robots and 6-axis robot arms for consumers and businesses. In 2024, it garnered attention by announcing the humanoid robot "G1". The company's humanoid robots, following their performance of traditional Chinese dances on China's popular annual New Year's Eve gala "Chunwan" (Spring Festival Gala) in 2025, also made headlines by performing martial arts at the 2026 Chunwan. In March 2026, its IPO application for the STAR Market of the Shanghai Stock Exchange was accepted, and it passed the listing review in just 73 days. This is said to be the fastest since the introduction of the STAR Market's pre-screening system. In April, it released a video showing the humanoid robot "H1" running on an athletics track at 10 meters per second and announced that it had set a new world record for running speed in a 100-meter dash by a humanoid robot. The demo video of the world's first mass-produced manned deformable robot "GD01," released in May, also became a hot topic.

According to Chinese financial media Yicai, founder Wang Xingxing (36) directly holds 86,714,964 shares, representing 21.4395% of the company's total issued shares. Prior to the IPO, he indirectly held 9.5367% of the company's shares through Shanghai Yuyi, an employee stock incentive platform. Combining both, his stake became approximately 30%, with a market capitalization exceeding 100 billion yuan (approx. 2.36 trillion yen), making him a top billionaire among those born in the 1990s, known as 'post-90s' in China.
