The sci-fi genre 'Hidden Ability' is an anticipated work, dubbed 'Nanpai Sanshu's pinnacle project', and is slated for 12 episodes. In addition to William Chan, Zeng Shunxi (曾舜晞) and others are also listed as potential cast members.

'The Mystic Nine', where William Chan reprises his role as Zhang Qishan after 10 years, surpassed a 'popularity index' of 10,000 on the platform in just 50 hours from its streaming start, setting the fastest record for a YOUKU (優酷) release in 2026 and ranking as the fourth fastest among all YOUKU works.

According to insiders, YOUKU and the original author Nanpai Sanshu are highly satisfied with the work's reception and the cast's performance, which led to their intention to collaborate on a new project.

During an exchange regarding 'The Mystic Nine' on the 12th, William Chan commented to Nanpai Sanshu, 'Let's do something big again.' Nanpai Sanshu immediately replied, 'If it's something 'Buddha' does, everything turns out big.' 'Buddha' is a nickname for Zhang Qishan, and their exchange heightened anticipation for a new collaboration.

While no official information has been released by either party at this point, enthusiastic reactions have already poured in from fans of Nanpai Sanshu and adventure/suspense works. (Translation/Editing/RR)
