Tesla's Shanghai 'Gigafactory' deliveries in July became the highest this year.
Electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Tesla (China) announced on the 4th that completed vehicles delivered from its Shanghai 'Gigafactory' in July reached over 93,000 units, a 37.8% increase year-on-year and a 5% increase month-on-month, updating this year's highest for a single month.
Thanks to an efficient integrated transportation system combining the factory, finished vehicle storage area, and wharf, vehicles rolling off the line at the Shanghai Gigafactory are transported to the port and loaded onto ships within one hour. Recently at Shanghai Port, 7,738 completed Tesla vehicles were loaded onto one RORO ship. This marked a record high for the number of completed vehicles loaded onto a single vessel departing from a Chinese port.
According to Tesla (China), models designed in China are globally popular, and orders for 'Model Y L' continue to increase. The 6-seater luxury SUV 'Model Y L', designed, researched, developed, and manufactured with China taking the lead, is exported to the United States, United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Australia, and other countries, with many consumers visiting 'Tesla Stores' to test drive and purchase it.
