Taiwanese media outlet ETtoday reported on the 15th that a Taiwanese person who returned a wallet found in Tokyo happened to be helped by the owner of that wallet in Osaka a few days later.

According to the article, the person who revealed this incident was Taiwanese veteran journalist Di Zhiwei (ディー・ジーウェイ). Di began his post on his Facebook account by saying, "A truly unbelievable incident," and revealed, "I just returned from Japan, and yesterday (the 14th), I heard a very strange story from a friend who was traveling in Japan."

According to him, Di's friend recently found a wallet fallen under a bench at a Tokyo subway station. It reportedly contained cash, credit cards, an ID card, and so on. Di's friend handed it to a station attendant and explained the detailed situation using a translation app. Then, without leaving their name or any other details, they left the scene.

A few days later, when Di's friend, who had moved to Osaka, was confused about which train to take on the station platform, an elderly Japanese man called out to them and guided them to the correct platform. As the friend was expressing gratitude, the man suddenly looked at the friend's backpack and asked, "Did you happen to go to XX Station in Tokyo a few days ago?"

In fact, that man was the owner of the wallet Di's friend had found. Di's friend was carrying a distinctive black backpack prominently featuring the Taiwanese flag, and the man seemed to have known this as a characteristic of the person who had returned the wallet.

Furthermore, the man was visiting Osaka to see his daughter, and Di's friend had also changed their plans at the last minute to visit Osaka. Regarding the miraculous reunion, Di's friend reportedly said, "If I hadn't made a mistake with the platform that day, we would never have met again. A few days after returning the wallet, when I needed help the most, I never dreamed that the owner of that wallet would be the one to guide me."

Di uploaded a two-shot photo of the man and his friend that his friend had sent him, and wrote, "This is truly an unbelievable incident where coincidences overlapped. I believe that there are mysterious connections in the world. I myself have met a man and a woman who had the exact same birthdate, but what my friend experienced this time is far beyond that.
