In a tornado that occurred in Ezhou City, Hubei Province, China, three people who were thrown from an apartment room died. Chinese media outlet Xin Huanghe reported this on the 8th.

According to the article, on the evening of the 6th, three members of a family living on the 6th floor of an apartment building in the city were blown by strong winds and thrown outside while trying to close a window, falling to their deaths. The family consisted of four people, and those who died were the father (50), mother (44), and the second son (age unknown).

The eldest son (14) was in another room closing a window at the time and was injured and bleeding from broken window glass. When he fled back to the room, he realized his parents and younger brother were nowhere to be found. He went outside and searched around, finding the three collapsed in a common area, and immediately called for help from neighbors.

According to relatives, the family was not very well-off financially and had purchased this used apartment two years ago with a loan of about 700,000 yuan (approximately 16 million yen), living in it without any renovations.

Relatives stated, 'While other homes (in the same apartment building) only had their window panes broken, the entire window, including its frame, was blown out of this home,' and suspect that there might have been a problem with the window's strength.

According to reports, from July 6th to 7th, strong winds and tornadoes accompanied by heavy rain and lightning occurred in Huangshi City, Huanggang City, Ezhou City, Xianning City, and other areas of the province.
