Edwards Air Force Base in northeastern Los Angeles, California, U.S., announced on June 16, local time, that a B-52H strategic bomber crashed shortly after taking off from the base on the 15th, killing all 8 crew members.

The aircraft was on a test flight as a performance verification aircraft for the AN/APQ-188 AESA radar installed on the bomber.

The B-52 subsonic long-range strategic bomber, developed and manufactured by Boeing, entered service in 1955, and currently, the U.S. military possesses 76 B-52H aircraft. (Source/CGTN Japanese)
