On the 9th, U.S. Time magazine announced "100 Most Influential People in Sports," a top 100 list dedicated exclusively to the sports field for the first time. From China, women's table tennis player Sun Yingsha (25) and women's skier Eileen Gu (22) were selected.

The list established four categories: "Icons," "Titans," "Innovators," and "Leaders." One hundred people who influence and support the sports world were selected. Legendary players such as NBA superstar LeBron James and soccer greats Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo were also included.
Sun was selected in the "Innovators" category. Time magazine praised her high abilities such as "speed, judgment, backhand counterattacks, and composure under pressure," and hailed her as "one of the greatest players in table tennis history."
