An incident in which a Chinese woman in her 60s was attacked by two men on a street in Tokyo's Ikebukuro has also been reported in China, stirring controversy.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 8:30 PM on the 10th, when police received a report from a witness about a 'snatching.' The victim stated that two men sprayed her with a substance, beat her, and stole her shoulder bag. The woman explained that there was approximately 8 million yen in cash inside her bag.

Although the incident was reported in China, some media outlets and social media accounts did not mention the victim's statement about possessing such a large sum of 8 million yen. This led to comments from netizens such as: 'That's why I told you not to go to Japan,' 'You went to Japan, so it's your own fault,' 'Japanese society is in chaos,' 'Wasn't Japan supposed to be democratic, free, civilized, and polite?' and 'Japan's hate education seems serious.'

On the other hand, some media and accounts reported the victim's explanation directly. Users who saw these reports commented: 'What was she doing with so much cash?'
