According to local authorities, an explosion occurred in Xing'an Town, Xing'an County, in the city around 1:40 AM on the same day. Arriving firefighters engaged in rescue efforts, but so far, 7 people have died and 17 have been injured. All injured individuals are reportedly in no life-threatening condition.
Local residents said, "Besides hearing two explosions, we also heard ambulance sirens. The glass in our homes was shattered by the blast."
According to investigations by authorities, the possibility of the explosion being caused by fuel gas, such as from gas pipes, has been ruled out, and they are proceeding with a detailed investigation into the cause of the accident.
