China's first domestically built large cruise ship, the "Adora Magic City," departed from Shanghai Wusongkou International Cruise Terminal in China on the afternoon of June 6, carrying over 4,000 passengers, and launched the nation's first portless sea cruise.

A "portless sea cruise" refers to a new form of short-term cruise that, unlike traditional cruise routes, navigates its entire journey on the open sea without calling at any specific port and returns to its departure port.

To adapt to this new operational model, the Pujiang Immigration Inspection Station of the Shanghai Immigration Inspection Authority formulated a customized response plan called "one ship, one policy" for the vessel. Under the plan, automated immigration gates and manned counters for immigration inspection are rationally allocated based on passenger characteristics, passengers are classified and guided to optimize the flow, and dedicated staff assist with document verification and immigration procedures for passengers. This ensures that even during peak times, passengers can undergo inspection immediately upon arrival and board smoothly. Furthermore, by leveraging technologies such as smart management systems to predict risks in advance and bringing the entire process under control, fully controllable operations are ensured.
