The 2026 National Unified University Entrance Examination (Gaokao) will be held from June 7th to 8th. In some provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities directly under the central government, due to differences in subject composition, some subjects are also scheduled to be tested on the 9th and 10th.

Prior to the exam, China's Ministry of Education made special arrangements for examinees and requested localities to uphold a 'student-first' approach and continue to develop 'exam support actions.' Comprehensive support systems will be strengthened, including public security, traffic, hygiene management for food and accommodation, heatstroke prevention, noise control, and psychological support. It is requested that reasonable accommodations be provided for examinees with disabilities who meet the conditions and other examinees requiring special consideration. Furthermore, full preparations should be made for contingencies such as extreme weather or natural disasters that may occur during the examination period, and all-round measures should be taken to ensure the safe and smooth conduct of the examination.
