On the 29th, in Changsha City, Hunan Province, China, the super-large diameter shield machine 'Jiaoping No. 1,' jointly developed by China Railway No. 11 Bureau Group, a subsidiary of major railway construction company China Railway Group Limited, and major construction machinery company China Railway Construction Heavy Industry Group, was completed. It will be deployed in the construction of the Mangshan Tunnel for the Jiaoping Railway, which connects Jiaozuo City and Pingdingshan City in Henan Province. Its total length is approximately 110 meters, total weight is approximately 3500 tons, and its output reaches 10,000 kilowatts. The Jiaoping Railway is an important component of the Hu-Nan Route (Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region - Nanning City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region) within China's high-speed railway network 'Eight Verticals and Eight Horizontals,' which consists of eight vertical and eight horizontal routes. The Mangshan Tunnel is a key project for the entire railway line, with the shield section having a total length of 4970 meters and an excavation diameter of approximately 14.6 meters.
