The camp sites for the FIFA World Cup Group Stage have been decided.
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) announced on May 25th that the camp sites for the group stage of the World Cup (W杯), co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, have been determined for the 48 participating teams, with the Iran national team establishing its camp in Mexico.
According to the announced list, 39 teams will be in the United States, while Colombia, Iran, South Korea, Mexico, South Africa, Tunisia, and Uruguay will be in Mexico, and Canada and Panama will each establish their camps in Canada.
FIFA stated that each national team's camp site will become their "second home", where players, coaches, and staff will spend most of their time during the group stage. FIFA World Cup Chief Operating Officer (COO) Heimo Schirgi emphasized, "The national team camp site is an indispensable part of any tournament. Teams will establish roots there, practice, rest, and experience the daily rhythm of the tournament."
The Japan national team will be participating in the World Cup for the 8th time and is in Group F with the Netherlands, Tunisia, and Sweden. Their first match against the Netherlands will kick off at 5:00 AM JST on June 15th. (Provided by/CGTN Japanese)
