Chinese media outlet Haike News reported on the 19th, citing Indian media, that the Indian Ministry of Railways released images related to high-speed rail trains.
Indian media 'India Today' reported on the 18th that the ministry released official images related to the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail train. This train adopts Japan's Shinkansen technology and its maximum speed reaches 320 kilometers per hour. The Indian government reportedly plans to officially open this high-speed rail in August 2027.
In response to this report, Chinese netizens raised cynical comments such as: "India's bragging has started again," "It must be a mistake, it should be 2037," "With just over a year until opening, track laying is significantly delayed, and overhead line construction hasn't even begun. What exactly are they planning to open with?", and "Are they going to put people on the roof of the train?".
Furthermore, while there were comments like "India should have adopted the German system. Japanese technology is significantly inferior," and "Japanese technology is completely outdated," comments like "Japan's Shinkansen has been operating for 60 years. This proves that the technology is mature and reliable," were also seen.
In addition, many likes (sympathies) were given to comments like "Why not adopt China's high-speed rail technology? Wasn't China's high-speed rail technology very excellent?". Among them, replies were also received pointing out, "Your comment is either foolish (you don't know that China's high-speed rail technology is not actually that excellent) or it's malicious (you know it but are being sarcastic on purpose)."
