Ye Mao, who works at a financial institution, has busy days, and for his photography, he uses his days off to travel to various places by car. His works are widely spread on Chinese social media and have many fans, and it is not uncommon for seeing his works to become a reason for visiting Japan.

He started photography in junior high school under the influence of his family. He came to Japan more than two decades ago, and his profession is in finance. He is a member of the Photographic Society of Japan, Vice President of the Japan-China Photography Exchange Association, and an Officially Contracted Photographer for Vision China. He has won awards in various contests, including the Japan Professional Photographers Society (JPS Exhibition), and has published numerous magazines and books in both Japan and China. His specialty genres include landscapes, art, and portrait photography. As his motto for taking photos, he says, "A 'good photo' in the true sense is not simply created with a perfect composition. I believe it is something that comes to fruition only when it has a clear message to convey and is approached with a sincere heart."
